Hello! I know I have been a total slacker and there really is not excuse. I like to be an over achiever and sometimes it gets the best of me. I have to be thankful to update you all that I’m healthier and happier than ever. I’ve been working on some goals for myself in 2016 and it’s all about being a stronger person mentally, physically, and spiritually.
I’m still running, but this year my mother and I are running and training harder than ever. We signed up to Run the Year. Yes, you got it, 2,016 miles in 2016. So far we have reached 300 miles.
In collaboration with running I have been kickboxing since the late summer. Next on my list is to gain muscle. My biggest weakness is my lack of upper body strength, always has been. Kickboxing was a kick start to build up core strength. I started lifting basic weights and I really have to say seeing the changes and feeling stronger is so powerful. Strong is definitely the new sexy.
One of the most powerful things is the encouragement from my family, friends, and even followers on social media. Supporting each other and just being a positive person goes such a long way! Keep pushing forward and surround yourself with positive people!
